BURNS NIGHT
The Scottish Poet Rabbie Burns was honoured in true Scottish traditional style at La Casita Restaurante in La Heredia. The full restaurant of diners enjoyed a four course dinner of Scottish fayre, including the famous Haggis served accompanied by a fine malt whiskey. Restauranteur, Lawrence Otterburn, started the evening with the Selkirk Grace.
The haggis was paraded into the restaurant with traditional music played by a fiddler, Bob Tracey who together with his wife Irene managed the formalities of the evening, including making the address to the Laddies and Lassies. The address to the haggis was narrated by Tom Sweeten.
Lawrence and his staff, all adorned in tartan, excelled themselves with great service and wonderful food
